FAQ

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Welcome to the Bulldogs FAQ page. We understand that there are questions about how we intend to operate during our Winter 2021 season amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

Please read through this entire FAQ prior to reaching out to program directors with questions regarding practices, protocols, or operating procedures.

What if I can’t make it to assessments?

If your player is unable to attend assessments on the day or at the time specified, please contact the appropriate program manager ASAP:

For boys, please contact DJ Gay at dj@sandiegobulldogs.org

For girls, please contact Natalie at nhardy@bgcsandieguito.org.

What are the fees for Winter 2021?

Invoices will be sent out on a monthly basis and are priced as follows:

February 1st: $125.00

March 1st: $125.00

ALL INVOICES will need to be paid upon receipt.

If I have a credit remaining from a previous season (Spring/Summer 2020), how do I use it towards Winter 2021?

If you have a credit on file, it will automatically be applied towards your Winter 2021 season. In the case that your credit gets used up before the Winter 2021 season ends, you will be contacted, notified, and invoiced the remaining amount.

If you have leftover credit from Summer, that will be used until you owe for Fall. You will be notified in ample time and be expected to pay the remaining balance through individual invoices.

Ex. John has $100.00 of credit remaining after playing in Fall 2020. He registered for Winter 2021. The monthly fee for February is $125.00. On February 1st, John will receive an invoice totaling $25.00 to pay the balance remaining after his $100.00 credit was applied internally. John will then be regularly invoiced for the rest of the season.

If you receive an invoice with an amount to be paid that you believe to be incorrect, please inform Natalie as soon as possible.

Please contact Natalie at nhardy@bgcsandieguito.org for any questions regarding credits.

When does the Winter 2021 season start and end?

Our Winter season will run January 25th - March 28th.

The first week of practice will be the week of January 25th.

Where are practices going to be located?

All practices will be held outdoors on the blacktop behind Carmel Valley Middle School for the foreseeable future—as we cannot predict when San Diego may climb out of the purple tier, we cannot guarantee when or if we will move practices into the Carmel Valley Middle School Gym.

However, once the number of cases begin falling and our city moves out of the purple tier, we anticipate being given the green light from the Boys and Girls Clubs of San Dieguito to move back inside the CVMS Gymnasium once again.

Address: 3800 Mykonos Lane San Diego CA 92130

What does my player need to bring to practices?

Please send your player to each practice with the following:

-refillable water bottle

-facial covering

-personal basketball

Will my player need to wear their facial covering during practice?

All players and coaches need to wear their facial coverings throughout the duration of practice.

IF players are doing drills outdoors and can be spaced more than six feet apart, the coaches will then determine if it is appropriate for the players to remove their facial coverings.

IF players need to take a break and remove their facial covering, they will be asked to do so when they can be a safe distance away from other individuals.

Can I watch my player practice?

If you wish to watch your player practice, you will need to wear a facial covering and pass a temperature check and a health questionnaire in order to gain access to the courts. We will have a designated "parent waiting area".

We appreciate your cooperation and willingness to remain in the parent waiting area, wearing your facial covering, and social distancing throughout the entirety of your player's practice :)

Will there be scrimmages or games during practice?

Coaches will facilitate scrimmages only if the state guidelines allow for scrimmages. We encourage our players to frequently wash their hands before and after practices, and we will have plenty of hand sanitizer available for players to use.
